This page explains what data northlumis.com collects, why, and what control you have over it. Northlumis doesn't sell data, run ads, or share information beyond what's described here.
Analytics
With your consent (see Cookies below), Northlumis uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit this site, which pages they read, and roughly which country and device they're using. This is aggregated, non-identifying usage data — it doesn't include your name or email address.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*) to tell one visit apart from another. These are only set after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — declining means no analytics cookies are set at all. No other cookies are used on this site.
The contact form
This site has a contact form (name, email address, and your message) alongside a direct email link. Once the site is publicly hosted, form submissions will be sent straight to Netlify, the company that will host it, and stored in a private dashboard only Northlumis can access — not shared with anyone else. Until then, the email link is the reliable way to reach us: whatever you write and send there goes directly to contact@northlumis.com through your own email provider.
The chat widget
The chat widget on this site answers from a fixed set of FAQs entirely in your browser. Questions you type and the answers shown are never sent to a server or stored anywhere — they exist only in that browser tab and disappear when you refresh or close the page.
Hosting
This site isn't hosted publicly yet. Once it is, its hosting provider will likely keep basic technical server logs (like IP address and request timestamps) for a limited period, as most web hosts do by default — this section will be updated with the specific provider and retention period once hosting is finalized.
Legal basis
Analytics data is only collected based on your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can decline or simply not respond, and no analytics data will be collected for your visit.
How long data is kept
Google Analytics is configured to keep event data (like page views) for 2 months and user-identifier data for 14 months, after which it's automatically deleted. Emails you send us, and messages sent through the contact form, are kept only as long as needed to reply, then deleted.
Your rights
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site. To ask what data exists about you, or to request it be deleted — including a contact-form submission — email contact@northlumis.com.
